Staying in the world is a struggle that some Christians have, even though they deeply want to spend time with God. Sometimes this is not consistent enough to the point where they would like it to be. Faithful woman of God does this describe you? It is okay if it does. To fix this issue we have to identify the reasons why it is hard to stay in the word of God.
Reason 1: You don’t understand what you read
It can be challenging to understand the word of God, especially if you are in the beginning stages of your faith. Not understanding what you are reading maybe a major reason why you can’t stay in the word of God. To fix this you need to ask the Holy Spirit to clarify his word. You can also take notes and use a Bible commentary. And investing in a set of devotionals can be very beneficial.
Reason 2: Your priorities are not set
We can say we love God and want to please him. But if our actions don’t prove that then how can we say that it is true? No one would believe it if we said we love someone deeply but will not make time to see that person. We have to show and make reading the Bible is a priority in our life .
Reason 3: You are not managing your time properly
Creating a schedule will be helpful. We have to delegate time to certain tasks. The things that are most important to us should be done first and should take considerably the majority of our time. We shouldn’t spend so much time on lesser tasks that bring no value to our lives or spiritual health.
Reason 4: Your bible translation is hard to understand
New King James version is not for everyone, so stop trying to read if you don’t understand it. Find a bible translation you like that is easy for you to understand and it speaks your language. My favorite translations The New Living translation and the English Standard Version.
Reason 5: You’re not praying enough
This Christian walk should be full of prayer. We should always be talking to God at different points throughout the day, and equally listening for his responses. If we aren’t praying, then we possibly are not connected to God the way we believe we are. A relationship with God is a two way street.
Thank you for this!!!
